Dr. Manuel "Van'' Dugas, Jr., D.V.M. died on Friday, December 20, 2002. DUGAS LULING – Dr. Manuel “Van” Dugas, 45, a native of New Orleans and lifelong resident of Luling, died Dec. 20. He was the husband of Michelle Smith Dugas and father of Laura and Lissa Dugas. He was the son of Manual Van Dugas and the late Martha Park Dugas, stepson of Linda Dugas and brother of Dr. Robert Dugas. He was also the grandchild of Helen Dugas. He was a doctor of veterinary medicine and a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty. He was a graduate of Hahnville High School, Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana State University and was the former owner of Bayou Veterinary Clinic.
